Tony's maternal grandmother makes these for him every Thanksgiving and I finally got the recipe! I would have never guessed they were so easy...and so yummy! I actually like these as a dessert!
1 can carnation evaporated milk
fill that can with regular milk
1 cup sugar
around 1 tsp of vanilla
1/2 stick of butter
Bring all to a boil
Reduce heat and add cut up sweet potatoes-not too small
Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are soft/done
Yummo!
