37 Weeks!

How Far Along: 37 weeks. Full Term!! 2 weeks until Ty's arrival, if not sooner! <3
Size of baby: He is the size of a stalk of swiss chard. Average: about 19 inches long and average about 6 1/3 pounds.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Up 15 lb as of 36w :) Thinking up 16 now. :) Averaging a pound a week lately.
Maternity Clothes: Finally all maternity. Belly bump has grown out of most all of my regular shirts. There are maybe 2-3 regular shirts I can wear.
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones. :)
Movement: Very, very active! He moves all day long and may sleeps 15 minutes at a time. I exaggerate. :) But he his moving around right much. Not strong kicks, just trying to stretch around. It is getting tight in there. I mainly feel his stretching on the top of my bump and his hiccups in the lower left.  At times, my belly takes on a whole new form as well. Funny sight!
Sleep:  Oh how uncomfortable. My hips hurt when I lay on one side too long.
What I miss: Nothing. :)
Cravings: Still wanting milk all. the. time. and spicy
Symptoms: Standard 3rd trimester symptoms: exhaustion, leg cramps, back aches, and pressure
Best Moments this week: Lots! Had my last shower today. A diaper shower at my mom's. <3 Speaking of this shower. I truly had pregnancy brain this week. Yesterday (Saturday) I woke up thinking my shower was at 2:00. So I proceeded to get myself and two step daughters all primped, hair curled, and prissied up to go to the shower. I drive about 30 minutes to my mom's house. When I get there, my dad says, "You're early". I said that yes, I had told mom that I would be early. :) He said, "No, you're really early, the shower is tomorrow". WOW. Pregnancy brain at it's finest. So back home we went. Got up this morning and got ready for my "real" shower. :)

My next appointment is tomorrow (Monday) I get a sonogram to try to get an updated measurement. I know they aren't that accurate at this point, but I still get to see my sweet boy.

I am getting so anxious and excited. <3

Bump is getting out of control!! <3 Glad he's a growing boy. :)

Until next time, darlings!

35 weeks

This is my 35 weeks bump boulder picture! I was definitely in denial about the size of my baby bump! lol. I did not do a weekly update because...well, I don't know. Not much has changed as far as symptoms etc. I am up 14 pounds with another appointment on Monday.  At my appointment this past Monday, my blood pressure was up. So we are checking that again this Monday and I pray it is down! Will try to update my 36 week appointment and baby news on Monday. :)

33-34 weeks

The farther I get in the pregnancy the busier! :)

How Far Along: 34 weeks. 3 weeks until full term, 5 weeks (if not sooner) for baby!
Size of baby: He is the size of a cantaloupe. Average: about 18 inches long and average about 4.25 pounds.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Up 12 lb as of 33w1d :) Thinking up 13 now. :)
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity. This pic today is of a non-maternity shirt. It's sad bug some of my regular shirts are longer than my maternity shirts!
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones. :) But with my belly growing at the pace it is, I know they are coming. I have been using my Bio Oil and lotion religiously.
Movement: He is so active! When I sit on the couch in my den, he goes crazy. Maybe because it's so "squishy"? I don't know. His hiccups are constant as well.  It's so funny when I can see them. :) Hubby is across the den and commented on my belly jumping...it's Ty's hiccups. <3
Sleep:  Sleep is getting even more non-exsistant
What I miss: Nothing. :)
Cravings: Still wanting milk all. the. time.
Symptoms: Standard 3rd trimester symptoms: exhaustion, leg cramps, back aches, and pressure
 Best Moments this week: Lots!

Weekly randoms:
I had two showers this week: one at work and one with friends. :) I think I'll post about all my showers at once since I have not posted on my first yet.

I started and have almost finished packing mine and Ty's hospital bag.

I had a contraction! What? I heard you could have them starting around 33 weeks, but I didn't think I would. I was sitting in Walmart parking lot and it was unmistakable. I will spare you the details, all you mama's know what it feels like. :) I need to up my water intake.

Ty's room is almost finished!! <3

31-32 weeks

Whew! The last few weeks have been whirl wind! I have been so busy! <3

How Far Along: 32 weeks
Size of baby: He is the size of a jicama. What is that? Average: about 16.7 inches long and average about 3.75 pounds.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Up 10.5 pounds as of 31w2d! I am sure I am up at least 11 now. Doctor seemed very pleased that I am finally putting on weight. I know baby T is getting plump and happy. <3
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity. A few of my regular shirts still fit.
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones. :) But with my belly growing at the pace it is, I know they are coming. I have been using my Bio Oil and lotion religiously.
Movement: Movement. That is an understatement! Little man is going to be a soccer player. lol. He has the strongest punches and kicks. I know he doesn't have much room in there and he is just trying to get comfy.
Sleep:  What's that? I am up at least 3-4 times a night for potty break. And up at least 5-6 times because my hips are hurting. Last night, I woke up at 2:45. Let's just say, I watched tv and got a load of laundry done. I was wide awake for about hours! I know I will crash this evening. :)
What I miss: Nothing. :) Even with the pain, no sleep, and uncomfortableness. I am absolutely loving every stage of this pregnancy. I can not wait to meet my son! <3
Cravings: Drinking my skim milk like crazy and still wanting mexican food.
Symptoms: Standard 3rd trimester symptoms: exhaustion, leg cramps, back aches, and pressure
 Best Moments this week: Lots!

Recap for last two weeks:
  • I had my first baby shower last weekend and it was so special! It was hosted my my sweet DH's wonderful family. Post to come later. :)
  • Doctor's appointment went well this week. Like I said earlier, Doc was happy with my weight gain. I have my c-section scheduled for December 17 (more on that later, too)
  • I truly feel like Ty has dropped. The pressure is almost unbearable at times. I have to stop mid-step or mid-sentence because he has decided to head butt my cervix.  This third trimester stuff can be uncomfortable!
  • Nesting has began. Yesterday I completely reorganized my master closet, master bath, and master dresser and chest drawers. One room down, too many more to come!
  • We have almost officially completed our basement! I have a few more finishing touches and it will be complete! (later post as well :)
  • Going to start washing Ty's clothes today :) and I'm going to start packing our bags and making my baby list.  Also, have gotten everything for my L&D nurse goodie bags. <3
  • Dinner with a preggo friend and her hubby last night. :)
  • Hiccups are nonstop, very low, and time of day and night. I love his hiccups, although they are CONSTANT! But I am so happy because I know that means his little lungs are developing just the way they should!
Hurricane Sandy is hitting the Mis-Atlantic this week. This will definitely go in his baby book. Tropical storm Tony was right behind her.  Write up in the news:  Short-lived and anemic, Tropical Storm Tony was overshadowed by the much more powerful Hurricane Sandy in the past week.  Yet after swirling in the Central Atlantic for less than three days, Tony made 2012 the third busiest season on record -- tied with 1887, 1995, 2010 and 2011. And it made the past three years the busiest stretch since 1851, when tropical records started.

I love how the "more powerful Sandy" has overshadowed Tony. This definitely isn't the case in our home, but funny to read about. lol.

This is a picture of Leanne (6 months) and I (8 months) after dinner last night.

I have right many posts coming up! Just finding the time to do it is hard!!!

30 weeks

How Far Along: 30 weeks Hard to believe that because of his size he will more than likely be here in 8.5 weeks!
Size of baby: He is the size of a head of cabbage.  Average: about 15.7 inches long and average about 3 pounds.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Up 7.5 pounds. Thought it would have been more, but it is holding steady.
Maternity Clothes: Still mix and match. Most regular shirts are getting short.
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones. :)
Movement: Movement is fabulous! He is getting on a routine now!
Sleep:  Sleep is ok. Several potty runs and several wide awake baby episodes makes sleep a little less.
What I miss: Nothing. :)
Cravings: Drinking my skim milk like crazy and still wanting mexican food.
Symptoms: Standard 3rd trimester symptoms: exhaustion, leg cramps, back aches
Best Moments this week: Maternity/family photo session today and what I KNOW was hiccups this afternoon. <3

This pic is from my maternity session today, conveniently on my 30 week mark. :)

Will post full maternity session when I receive them. :)

Oct 8, 2012

29 weeks

How Far Along: 29 weeks (back to my original due date)
Size of baby: He is the size of an acorn squash.  Average: about 15.2 inches long and about 2.5 pounds. Since Ty was measuring in at 2 lb 11 oz about 2 weeks ago, and if he gains a 1/2 pound a week like the average 3rd trimester baby gains, then he weighs around 3.5 lbs!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Up at least 9 pounds. I haven't weighed at home. Doctor's appointment tomorrow!
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. Some regular shirts still fit but they are getting short. The picture below is in a regular shirt.
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones. :)
Movement: Movement is fabulous! I feel what I think is hiccups! It almost tickles. He is responding to touch and has me up more at night.
Sleep:  Sleep is ok. Several potty runs and several wide awake baby episodes makes sleep a little less.
What I miss: Being able to bend over with ease. And of course since being diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I miss being able to eat what ever I want. :)
Cravings: None. Still want my milk, but doctor's orders say I had to switch to skim. blech!
Symptoms: Leg cramps, back ache, and the true 3rd trimester exhaustion has officially hit.
Best Moments this week: Ty's quilt came in. <3 We started birthing classes last week and our next one is tonight!

Here is a picture of Ty's quilt (The Madras Nursery Collection from Pottery Barn Kids)

Here is me at 29 weeks! Belly is grooooooowing! Ty is all balled up in there and growing like a weed! He's my little butterball. <3

Sep 23, 2012

27 Weeks

How Far Along: 27 weeks!
Size of baby: He is the size of a rutabaga or a head of cauliflower.  Average: about 14.5 inches long and about 2 pounds!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Up 7 pounds as of Wednesday. :)
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. In the picture below, I am wearing my Victorias Secret skinny jeans. However, a girl's gotta love the hair tie trick and the tummy sleeve!
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: Ummm, I found one on my hip! Ahhh! I have religiously been slathering BioOil on my belly, yet....I have failed to remember to put it on my hips! That's okay though. :)
Movement: Movement is getting more regular. <3
Sleep:  Sleep is ok. Still getting up at least twice a night for potty break and at least once a night to stretch my calf.
What I miss: Being able to bend over with ease. I drop things all. the. time. Hubbs laughs at the way I bend down to get them. Ha! If only I could describe. Mama's can relate.
Cravings: No cravings this week. STILL drinking tons of milk though!
Symptoms: A few leg cramps but that is all. :)
Best Moments this week: As always, feeling Ty kick. :) And my crib came in! So hubby and I will put it together with the girls help this evening.

26 weeks

How Far Along: 26 weeks! Last week of my second trimester!! Down to double digit days!
Size of baby: He is the size of a head of lettuce.  Average: about 13.6-14.8 inches and 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds!  I find out on the 26th his actual weight!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Last official weigh-in at the doctor's office I was up 5 pounds! Did not weigh this morning since my scale decides to tell me that I never gain weight. I love that scale. ha! I think I am up about 7-8 pounds though.
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. Going to order me a few more pants this week! yay!
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones!
Movement: Movement is so fun! I am such a mean mama though. I try to wake him up to feel him. <3
Sleep:  Starting the live on the potty phase! Plus I have woken up a few times with calf cramps.
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings: No cravings this week. Still drinking tons of milk though!
Symptoms: A few leg cramps but that is all. :)
Best Moments this week: Celebrating my 30th birthday! I have been so overwhelmed with calls, texts, and best wishes for my birthday this year.  I truly have the BEST family and friends. I know this will be my best year yet. <3

Pic is from yesterday....25w6d. I was on my way to a baby shower for sweet baby Edyn.

Sep 10, 2012

25 weeks

How Far Along: 25 weeks!
Size of baby: He is the size of a head of cauliflower.  Average: about 13.6-14.8 inches and 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Last official weigh-in at the doctor's office I was up 5 pounds! For some reason, my scale at home has not moved. :/ I have come to the conclusion that my scale at home does not work. Therefore I have no clue how much I have gained since my last appointment. I am guessing I have gained between 2-3 pounds. I will update exact amount after my next appointment on the 19th. :)
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. All maternity pants except my yoga pants....which I could live in all. the. time. I am carrying him so low that my pants don't fit!
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: No new ones!
Movement: Movement is great. I am not sure when I am supposed to start "tracking" his kicks.  I must google this. :) During the day at work, I do not feel him at all. In the mornings, he is wired and the evenings just active. :)
Sleep:  Starting to wake up more and more each night.  I require tons of sleep, always have. So I believe that God is starting me early getting used to losing sleep. <3
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings: No cravings this week.
Symptoms: No symptoms!
Best Moments this week: DH getting to see how wired Ty is in the morning. He was laughing at my belly bouncing all around. And my youngest got to see Ty kick as well. She thought it was hysterical!

24 weeks

How Far Along: 24 weeks! Viability week! Viability means that if Ty were to decide to come today, the doctors would do everything medically in their power to save the life of a premature baby. I pray fervently that he decides to stay in mommy's tummy for at least 13 more weeks, but I am reassured to know that he is developed enough that even if something were to happen, my baby boy would prayerfully live. <3
Size of baby: He is the size of a cantaloupe.  Average: about a foot long and a little over a pound.  My uterus is now over my belly button and about the size of a soccer ball.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Official weigh in was Monday. I was up 5 lbs! As of today, about 6 pounds up! FINALLY! Yee haw! Party time! Although, I was not too, too worried about my weight, knowing how much baby, uterus, placenta, and extra blood, etc. weigh, I was waiting patiently for my scale to start moving. However, I do NOT want it to move too fast. :)
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. Still maternity pants, but able to wear a lot of my pre-preg shirts. I am short, so most of my shirts are fairly long. I went through my fall clothes and was pleasantly surprised at how many tops I believe I will be able to wear at least until November. :)
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!! Mama's prince, Ty.
Stretch marks: Ok, so here's the deal. I have been using this Nuby cream daily, sometimes twice a day for a while now.  Um, I found a stretch mark! Granted, you can only see it in low light, and it's white, and it's only a little over a half an inch. But, it's. still. there! So I went out and bought Bio Oil which supposedly is THE.BEST. I am loving how moisturizing it is. I think it will do the trick. I have gained about 3 inches in my belly the last 2 weeks, so I figured I would have one or more stretch marks make an appearance soon. :) Although, I am trying to keep them at bay, these stretch marks are a picture that God will paint to remind me of the wonderful miracle growing inside me. <3
Movement: Movement is fabulous! Since I started back to work, he sleeps more during the day. But he is active at night! <3  Friday of this week, I was able to start "seeing" him kick. Of course, I had to pop out the handy dandy smart phone and video it. I could not wipe the smile from my face watching my belly dance around. :)
Sleep:  Sleep is ok. I have had a few nights of uncomfortableness.
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings: No cravings this week. Although, last night I went out to eat with some friends, (the wifey is also pregnant at 16 weeks :) and we went to Carrabbas. Okay, so I tried this sauce for calamari called Ricardo I believe. It is made with jalapeno's etc. I can tell you right now. I give it 2 days tops and I'll start craving that sauce! It was that good. I must learn to make it!
Symptoms: Sciatica is gone! Well, for now. Evidently Ty decided to shift and give mama some comfort. I am truly thankful.
Best Moments this week: Just a great pregnancy week all the way around. Felt great, no symptoms, good energy. I am truly blessed. The best moment was being able to see his kicks for the first time and catching them on video. Will definitely be a memory I will treasure always.  Also, I just have to tell a funny story. At work this week, we had our practice fire drill. During fire drills, I always hold the doors to let the students and teachers file back into the building. On the way in, one little student stopped dead in his tracks, holding up the classes behind him.  With concern in his voice and eyebrows furrowed, he looked at my belly in confusion. "Wha-what happened to you?" His voice was so sweet. He absolutely had no idea that I did in fact NOT eat a watermelon, but I am going to have a baby. It was so funny, cute, and innocent I just had to laugh. And so did all the other teachers standing around. So. Sweet.

At my last appointment, my doctor and I discussed my sugar test appointment and my 3d/4d ultrasound appointment.  I know the sugar test is a dreaded test amongst many pregnant mamas, however, I am so excited! It puts me one step closer to holding my baby boy! And, of course, I am excited about my next ultrasound! Can not wait to see if he has my eyes and his daddy's chin! Oh, one more thing. The hospital called to let me know when my birthing classes are! 4 weeks in October! I can not wait! Ok, I will stop. ;)

This picture was taken at 23w5d. Ty and I went on a Japanese date night with another preggo friend of mine.

This picture was taken last night before our date night to Carrabbas. :) You can finally tell I'm pregnant from the front!

So excited to have my baby bump now! <3 Mommy loves you so much, Ty!

Aug 26, 2012

23 weeks

How Far Along: 23 weeks!
Size of baby: He is the size of a grapefruit.  Average: over 11 in. long and a little over a pound.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: According to my home scale, I believe I am up 2 pounds! Grow baby grow. I have an official weigh in tomorrow. :)
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. Still maternity pants, but able to wear most of my pre-preg shirts. I am short, so most of my shirts are fairly long.
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!!
Stretch marks: None yet, still using stretch mark cream daily
Movement: Movement is fabulous! Since I started back to work, he sleeps more during the day. But he is active at night! <3
Sleep:  Sleep is better. I attribute it to the fact that I am so. tired. at night. :)
What I miss: Not being in pain! LOL. See symptoms.
Cravings: One day this week, I was craving mozzarella sticks so bad I could literally smell them in my kitchen! What did I do? I called my kids in from outside, loaded them up and went to the grocery store. Yummo! This mama got her mozzarella sticks. :)
Symptoms: Sciatica is still horrible! At times, I can't put any weight on my right leg.  I am also learning to stand straight up. lol. I always stand with one hip "poked" out. Well, if I do that now, when I stand straight again, the nerve catches so bad it makes me jump!  Hopefully, it won't last too awful long.
Best Moments this week: Hubby took off of work on Saturday and we were able to clean out baby boy's room and get it ready for furniture! And of course feeling baby move. <3

Here is my pic sporting my glasses :) at 23 weeks. Yes...I have definitely grown! :)

Aug 20, 2012

22 weeks

How Far Along: 22 weeks! 6 months!
Size of baby: He is the size of a papaya.  Average: 11 in. long and almost 1 pound.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight. :) My next appointment is a week from today.
Maternity Clothes: Mix and match. All maternity pants now and some shirts.
Gender:  Bouncing Baby Boy!!
Stretch marks: None yet, still using stretch mark cream daily
Movement: Movement is regular. I could just sit and feel him move all. day. long.
Sleep:  Sleep is okay. Still wake up uncomfortable most nights.
What I miss: Nothing
Cravings: I've been wanting pineapple casserole all week long!
Symptoms: Hello Sciatica. I feel for anyone who has to deal with sciatica constantly.  At least I know mine will go away after baby is born. This is extremely painful! It is localized in one spot in my hiney. ;) luckily it is not venturing down my leg at this time.
Best Moments this week: Feeling  him kick. This will is always the best moment!

Here is a blurry picture.  It was rainy...and cold...and I had a pot roast in the oven. Did not want to get all dressed up. :)

Also, thought you might enjoy this picture as well. It was taken at 21 weeks just to show that I do not have much longer before I can not see my feet!

Oh yeah, 6 moths?!?!?! Where has the time gone? I have got to get busy!
